Stephanie Rossetto

Senior Publicity Coordinator |Adelaide Festival Centre

I am the Senior Publicity Coordinator at Adelaide Festival Centre. I have been working in the publicity team here since 2020 and have had so many fantastic experiences.

From organising midnight photoshoots to midday interviews, I have thoroughly enjoyed working across all of our 5 festivals – even when that means trying to find the perfect last minute prop for a shoot (some of the strangest include leather pants, puppies, and a life-size pencil).

I went to the University of South Australia and completed a Bachelor of Marketing and Communications in 2019. During my time as a student, I threw myself into every opportunity that came my way. I networked, interviewed, volunteered, and interned anywhere that would have me.

Towards the end of my degree, I decided to pursue a career in publicity. I loved organising, talking, sourcing props for photoshoots, writing, and making connections – it was the perfect fit!

In 2018, I interned in the publicity team for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and was so excited to be backstage, in dressing rooms, and on red carpets. I loved seeing the inner workings of the festival and the adrenaline, dedication, and passion everyone has for putting it together and executing one of our state’s major festivals.

When Francesca Belperio (my inspiring boss and mentor) offered me the position at Adelaide Festival Centre in 2020, I accepted immediately.

It was a windy path from studying, interning, and graduating but I’m so glad it brought me to a career in publicity. My advice for current students interested in publicity is to have an open mind, try different things, ask questions, and be persistent – and I hope to work with you soon!
