Established in 2012, Festival City Adelaide is the peak body for South Australia’s festivals and events.
Our vision is that Adelaide is recognised nationally and internationally as Australia’s Festival Capital.
Our purpose is to ensure that the policy and business conditions in South Australia are conducive to its festival sector thriving, leading, and achieving its impact goals.
There are three pillars to our work: advocacy, member services, and sector development.

Our membership is diverse, and high in impact. We bring together arts, culture, food and drink, sports, and multicultural festivals, events, businesses, and partners from all over South Australia — driving change and making communities smile across the state.
Festivals aren’t just a noun here. They are a verb. We festival with joy, pride, curiosity, and wonder. We do so in community with others. We share communal experiences and generate a sense of communion that is palpable, generous, and welcoming — it’s like no other place in the world.
